The Forever Queen

Hylax was a kucharn hive queen who ascended to divinity long before kucharn mutated into the aggressive hive mind everyone else calls The Swarm. Shirrens rediscovered Hylax when they broke free from the hive mind generations later. Hylax reached out to her ravaged children, swaddling them in comfort and communion but never demanding they give up their free will or personhood. Shirrens began worshipping Hylax as the Forever Queen. Prophets joyfully predicted a future era when all hives, cities, and communities in the galaxy would coexist in harmony. Hylax’s followers don’t proselytize, believing that even other gods will join Hylax’s holy utopia as egalitarian members, but they welcome believers of all ancestries to share their faith.

An archaic sect of Hylax’s church on Nchak believes the Forever Queen's departed advisors, who were slain long ago by an apostate who blamed Hylax for the Swarm’s endless assault on the galaxy, have reincarnated into "golden larvae" who must be mentored so they can help Hylax usher in an age of universal peace.
