Nchak

One of the most prominent moons of Liavara in the Golarion System. It is inhabited primarily by arthropods (particularly the native Trox), and ruled by philosopher worms, and the mortal incarnation of the goddess Hylax.

Geography

Nchak is a rocky moon with a thin atmosphere orbiting the gas giant Liavara.

Inhabitants

For millennia, Nchak has been home to the insectile Trox civilization who worship their ruler, the Forever Queen who resides in the Forever Halls beneath the moon's surface. When the Shirrens first arrived in the Golarion System, it was revealed that the Forever Queen was a mortal incarnation of Hylax, turning Nchak into a religious and tourist mecca for many Hylaxians. Since then, numerous insectile immigrants have settled on Nchak, including shirrens, Haans from Bretheda, and other Hylax-worshipping species. Due to their heritage, Nchak's residents are far more aware of the threat posed by The Swarm than most Pact Worlds citizens, and fear that it is a particularly juicy target if the Swarm decides to come back to the system. The most commonly spoken language on the moon is its endemic tongue, Nchaki.

Apari

Nchak is home to the largest population of Apari in the Golarion System who survive well in the moon's thin atmosphere. They treat all other insectile species living there as food (including the sapient ones).

Government

Due to its status as the center of Hylax's faith in the Golarion System, Nchak was elevated to the status of protectorate in the Pact Worlds government and is independent from its mother planet, Liavara. Many Hylaxians feel that this status is insufficient, and have started to lobby the Pact Council for a full membership.
