Marixah Republic

The Marixah Republic is a small liberal democratic republic and one of the major powers in Near Space. Their territory consists of Marixah (the capital) and Kizmatta, the two habitable planets in the Marixah System, and eight other worlds, including Flentil, an ocean planet, and Ptekik-3, a high-gravity world with a methane atmosphere.

The Marixah Republic was born when the residents of Marixah and Kizmatta formed a union shortly after The Gap. The Marixah Republic's population consists mostly of Aiuvarin, Dromaar, Goblins, and Hobgoblins who migrated from the Golarion System to Marixah during The Gap.

Due to its successes, the Marixah Republic fancies itself an equal to the Pact Worlds and Veskarium, despite possessing only a small fraction of these two's might. After supplying a small fleet to fight The Swarm in 291 AG, the Republic's leaders intend to provide greater assistance in future conflicts. The Marixah Republic remains on good terms with the Pact Worlds, though the Pact Council is tired of Marixah posturing. The Veskarium laughs at the notion that the Marixah Republic could be their peers.

Its current nemesis is the Gideron Authority, its closest neighbor and rival to whom the free-thinking, multicultural Republic is a clear threat. During the recent Drift Crisis, the conflict between the Gideron Authority and the Marixah Republic escalated, with the Authority taking advantage of their helldrives and the Drift Crash to annex the Acalata System and the planet of Sansorgis from the Marixah Republic.
