Pulonis
Pulonis, formally called Vesk-6 by the occupying armed forces of the Veskarium, is home to the Pahtras and is the sixth planet in the Ghavaniska System. An unusually warm world of jungles despite its distance to its sun, Pulonis core generates a strong magnetic field that disrupts technology. It threw off the control of the occupying forces of the Veskarium in 325 AG and became the first full member of the Pact Worlds government outside the Golarion System that same year.
Cartographers often split Pulonis's superocean into three smaller bodies of water: the Ketemare Ocean, which is relatively calm due to its distance from shore, and the Tereltos Sea and Tideflight Ocean, which are subject to extreme tides caused by the gravity of Pulonis's two moons, Hinirinn and Yolaku by the pahtras). These tides can reach for miles inland every day.
The planet is covered in a very powerful magnetosphere that allows it to keep its atmosphere and generates magnetic winds that quickly destroys technology. Without proper shielding, even simple tools can become unreliable, while more advanced technology is useless or even deadly. Its core was apparently altered some time in prehistory, which explains its unusually warm temperature; however, there are no proof or ruins on Vesk-6 of any ancient aliens who might have been responsible.
Government
Until very recently, the Veskarium maintained a garrison in Command 6, Pulonis's planetary capital, under the leadership of the relatively liberal High Despot Kavadroz. The Veskarium only directly ruled Command 6, while elsewhere they appointed consuls, both Vesk and Pahtra, to cooperate with local pahtra nations, whose treaties with the empire granted them unusual autonomy. Nevertheless, some groups remained hostile to vesk rule and sought to reclaim Pulonis for the pahtras.
In 322 AG, a combination of Veskarium forces being distracted by the Drift Crash and false rumors that Teret Kahan, the first pahtra to sit on the Council of Despots, got disposed of by the Veskarium, caused pahtra partisans to intensify their activities, besieging many cities. High Despot Kavadroz declared martial law, while the pahtra soldiers under his command are torn between their species and the empire.
The armed forces of the Veskarium finally withdrew from Pulonis is 325 AG. Elected local leaders soon announced that they would attempt to join the Pact Worlds government, which succeeded later that year. The final vote for acceptance in the Pact Worlds government was a close one, with the Azrinaran elves of Apostae giving the deciding vote.
Inhabitants
Even though the feline pahtras are the dominant intelligent species on Pulonis, they are one of the smallest due to its low gravity. Its jungles are home to many wild creatures including the Brobdingnagian screaming sky viper. While pahtra warriors protect most major settlements from the dangerous wildlife, they risk being overcome during population surges or disruptions. As its magnetic fields interfere with technology, most of Pulonis's surface is wilderness.
Pulonis's other intelligent species is the hymothoas, who are despised by pahtra and vesk alike. Their motives are largely unknown, though they seemed even more hostile to vesk occupation than most pahtras were.
