Lao Shu Po

Grandmother Rat
Lao Shu Po is an ancestral deity important to many ysoki due to her areas of concern encompassing the protection of ratkind as well as thieves. Legend has it that she was once a simple rat who gnawed on the corpse of a dead god and became divine. Her selfish teachings seem at odds with ysoki cultural values of collaboration and generosity, but traditional ysoki families still leave offerings for Grandmother Rat or wear charms to attract her favor (and ward off her spite). A secretive guild of assassins in the Diaspora claims Lao Shu Po as their divine benefactor, while ysoki religious traditionalists deny their claims as blasphemy.
