Gideron Authority

The Gideron Authority is a militaristic nation in Near Space that has recently begun a series of rapid expansions following a military coup and has come into conflict with the neighboring Marixah Republic. The authority now controls the entirety of the Gideron System and more than a dozen planets beyond.

Gideron Prime, capital of the Gideron Authority, has no native life, and was settled by various species who left their homes during The Gap, predominantly xenophobic Hobgoblins and their Ja noi and Kanabo cousins. The ja noi are oni that resemble large, red-skinned hobgoblins, and kanabo are the offspring of the two.

During the recent Drift Crisis, the Authority equipped many of their ships with helldrives, overseen by the Hellknights of the Order of the Crucible. This allowed their ships to fly through Hell, rather than The Drift. They took advantage of the situation to claim the prized Alcata System and the planet Sansorgis from the Marixah Republic, whose ships were outclassed by the helldrives.
