The Bulwark

A region of space in The Vast cordoned off by the Knights of Golarion and the Church of Hylax as the front lines of defense against The Swarm. With the creation of the Drift Lanes, particularly Charge of the Inheritor which leads into Swarm space, the Swarm could use this lane to gain a foothold further into the galaxy.

Bulwark refers to the region, but also to a cloud of warships bristling with weapons forming a shield around the rocky planetoid of Triumph, the exit point of the drift lane. Knowing control of Triumph would severely impede Swarm exploitation of the Drift Lane network, the Knights of Golarion and Church of Hylax combined forces to fortify the planetoid, denying the Swarm this shortcut.
