Hallas

Hallas is one of the primary moons of Liavara. It has been cordoned off from the rest of the Golarion System since before The Gap due to its resident incorporeal Hallajins that can cause outsiders' brains to explode from overstimulation.

Geography

Hallas is an unsettled wilderness, as the Hallajins have no need for corporeal settlements. For millennia, it has been surrounded by a magical wards originally erected by wizards from Arkanen, but which suddenly disappeared in 324 AG with the birth of The Newborn. This barrier was powered by the energy generated when Arkanen passed through Liavara's atmosphere, after emissaries from Arkanen made first contact with the Hallajins and had their minds exploded from overstimulation.

Inhabitants

The primary residents of Hallas are the enigmatic, hyperevolved beings known as Hallajins. Due to the arcane cordon, very few outsiders visit it, except for the foolhardy zealot who seeks some great boon from them.

Hallas and the Pact Worlds

Hallas is administered by Pact Worlds officials from Arkanen, who ensure that visitors do not accidentally burn their minds or provoke hallajins.
